Prologue
It all started with room 315
I turned my wedding ring around and around on my finger
As the vows that we spoke to each other played in my mind.
I thought of the love we shared;
I stared at the door in front of me.
Room 315 - on the other side, was the grass really greener?
I stood there and thought of him...
Thought of the lustful feelings he gave me, the rapid heartbeat, the giggles...
That my man no longer gave me. Decisions... Decisions...
I ran my fingers through my hair…
Wanting to feel his fingers do the same, I put my hand on the knob and... Opened the door. I stood inside the doorway; my breathing increased. I took a couple of deep breaths and slipped my ring off my finger, placing it in the inside lining of my purse.
“It's now or never pull yourself together” I said under my breath. I walked further into the room to find the man that had put more smiles on my face and erased the moments when my neglectful husband made me cry. This man had made me laugh more in the last month than Jacob, my husband of four years, had ever done.
